Full Program Itinerary: 1 Day Trip from Marrakech to Imlil (Mount Toubkal)
Everyday Trip from Marrakech to Imlil if you desire to get out of the city in the authentic and rural side of Morocco. We will start our trip at 08:00 am from your hotel/riad in Marrakech by a 4WD vehicle or minivan to Atlas Mountain through Ourika Valley.
After one hour from Marrakech, we will stop in a Berber village where will visit a Berber house to find out how Moroccan and Berber families live, it’s a chance to share a local traditional Berber breakfast made by the family and learn a bit about them. After a few minutes of driving, we will stop to have a short camel ride(15-20 minutes). Then we will finish our way to Asni Valley with amazing landscapes.
we will cross several authentic Berber villages till we reach a small village at the foothills of the highest mountain in Morocco Toubkal Mountain the highest mountain in North Africa (4167 km). Imlil is the best place for hiking and mule riding due to its unique position and its connection to several Berber villages and a very popular starting point for treks and hikes for climbing Toubkal mountain.
In every season the Imlil Valley has its particular beauty; from the milky-white blossoms of spring to the fiery reds and auburn of the autumn leaves, and from the snow-capped winter peaks to tranquil, green summer hollows. Discover the traditional way of life as you hike amongst the mud-built Berber villages scattered on these hillsides and relax in peaceful surroundings.
We will change the vehicle for hiking/trekking to the waterfalls with the mule team that will take us for 20min to the Berber house where we will have a mint tea followed by delicious lunch offered by the local family. After lunch, we will drive back on a different road to Marrakech, via Lala Takarkoust where you will have one 1 hour quad biking full of fun and adrenaline.
