Trip 8 days and 7 nights from Ouarzazate to Ouarzazate via south of Morocco Desert and old kasbahs.

Day 1: Ouarzazate Airport

Upon arrival at the airport of Ouarzazate, you will find our driver who will take you to your hotel or Riad.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Boulmale Dades Gorge

After breakfast we drive to visit Skoura to see old kasbahs, then to Kalaat Meggouna (The Valley of the Roses) where you can see the beautiful river and find shops selling natural soaps made from the many roses that grow in the valley and can be seen in the month of May.

You may also see the festival of roses if you pass through on the 2nd of May. From here we drive to Boulmal Dades Gorge for the night in a hotel where dinner and breakfast are provided

Day 3: Boulmal Dades Gorge – Msmrir – Mountains in the direction of Tamtatuche

After breakfast, we drive 30km to Msmrir where we begin by foot into the mountains. You can bring a small pack with all that you need for the night, the rest of your baggage can be taken by car to Tamtatuche.

We will walk with a guide for around 4 hours to a Berber Nomade camp in the mountains where you will spend the night in the Nomade tent (cave). Dinner and breakfast are provided and you will witness the culture and way of life of the Nomade people.

Day 4: Mountains in the direction of Tamtatuche – Tamtatuche

After breakfast, we will walk a further 4 hours across the mountains to the village of Tamtatuch to spend the night in a hotel with dinner and a hot shower. Here we will have a small party with Berber music.

Day 5: Tamtatuche – Todrah Gorge – Merzouga

After breakfast, we will drive through the beautiful Todra Gorge through kasbahs and Palmeries then on to the old town of Rissani for a lunch of Berber Pizza (Medfouna). We will visit the large authentic souk of Rissani where people come to buy all things from clothes and vegetables to camels.

We then continue to the great 350m high dunes of Erg Chebbi. Here you will have dinner and sleep the night in a hotel.

Day 6: Erg Chebbi – Kamlia – Sahara Desert

After breakfast, we go to visit some mountains near the desert to see some natural fossils, and then we make a tour of the dunes by 4×4 on the track of the Dakar rally. Here you can see nomad families living in their tents with animals. You will see the difference between the Nomades of the desert and the Nomades of the mountains.

We will also see an old French military kasbah, followed by a place where they extract a mineral used for kohl ( Berber mascara), and on to the village of Kamlia where you will see musical performances made by people from Senegal.

We will see the colonization of water from the dunes to the oasis via man-made ground tunnels then return to the hotel in Erg Chebbi where you can have 2 hours to rest and shower before taking camels one and a half hours into the desert to witness the sunset and continue on to the tent home of a desert family for dinner, party and the nights sleep. This is a beautiful vista with a clear night sky to view the stars and moon like nowhere else.

Day 7: Erg Chebbi Desert – Ouarzazate

Witness the sunrise before breakfast, then remount the camels for a two-hour ride to the hotel for a shower before driving four hours back to the hotel in Ouarzazate to leave your luggage.

We then drove 20 min to the famous kasbah of Ait-Ben-Haddou where many movies were filmed including Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and Kingdom of Heaven. We return to Ouarzazate to the Hamam (public baths) then back to the hotel for dinner the sleep.

Day 8: Ouarzazate Airport

Breakfast then transport to the Airport.
