To reach the dunes, you travel over the Anti-Atlas Mountains to Agdez at the head of the Dra’a Valley. Here the largest Kasbah in the valley, Kasbah Tamnougalte, can be visited with a local guide to witness how family life has changed a little over the centuries.
You will follow the ancient route of the caravans, used to bring precious goods from sub-Saharan Africa. You will notice many ancient Kasbahs and green oases, both very typical of this part of Morocco.

Tour Itinerary: 2 Days From Ouarzazate to Erg Chegaga
1st day – Ouarzazate – Anti Atlas – Agdez – Draa Valley – Zagora – Mhamid – Erg Chegaga:
We will start this 2-day desert Tour from Ouarzazate to Erg Chigaga by having breakfast and then heading out to drive through the great Draa Valley.
After driving by the town of Zagora, we will have lunch near Amzerou village, then pass by the Bani Mountain before finally getting on the road to the Erg Chegaga desert. You will enjoy dinner in the middle of the desert dunes while spending the night in traditional tents.
2nd day – Desert – Foum Zguid – Taznakhte – Ait Ben Haddou:
Today on the 2-day desert tour from Ouarzazate you will enjoy a traditional Moroccan breakfast in the desert before we continue our journey along the road of the famous Paris-Dakar Rally. After driving by the Lake of Iriqui and the village of Foum Zguid, we will get to Tazenakht town where we can have lunch.
If not, we can save lunch until we get to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Ait Ben Haddou is a world-famous UNESCO World Heritage site and a historical Kasbah that served as a filming location for many international movies, series, and photoshoots.
After we are done exploring it, we will finally head back to Ouarzazate where we will drop you off at your accommodation.
